4 years
Start Date
September
Tuition Fee
€ 6,000 per year
Location
Athens, Greece
The programme aims to teach students theoretical and practical tools of philosophy and managerial decision-making skills through a spiral curriculum structure. The core point is that the inclusion of Philosophy in a business degree can help students discover their blind spots as future leaders and introduce a new philosophy on administration. The BA in Applied Philosophy in Business Decision Making will provide a strong theoretical analysis, contextual perspective, and a thorough grounding in qualitative and quantitative applications, encouraging students to identify and debate different business thoughts.
Essentially, it covers two areas of knowledge, philosophy and management science, providing a broad and coherent curriculum based on European and Anglo-American philosophical traditions. The programme focuses on developing specific management/administration skills through courses oriented towards business decision-making with a human-centred footprint. The modules are divided into compulsory core courses and elective courses, with a single degree required for all students. There is no choice of major or pathway in the degree.
The structure applies to Single Honours full-time students. A full-time programme of study shall normally comprise 5 modules (30 ECTS) in a semester and 10 modules totalling 60 ECTS in an academic year. In the final year, students are asked to submit a dissertation project counting for 24 ECTS. The mode of delivery is mainly via onsite lectures and the language of delivery is in English.
Programme Highlights:
Dual Focus: Blend of Philosophy and Management Science for a well-rounded education.
Spiral Curriculum: Progressive learning model that builds on foundational concepts.
Human-Centred Approach: Emphasis on business decision-making with ethical considerations.
